The high-level international conference on Leveraging Agriculture for Improving Nutrition and Health will take place on February 10-12, 2011, in New Delhi, India. Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has graciously agreed to inaugurate it.

This conference is motivated by the recognition that agriculture has important impacts on poor people's nutrition and health, and people's nutrition and health in turn affects their productivity. It will seek to help understand and unleash the potential of agriculture-as a supplier of food, a source of income, and an engine of growth-to significantly and sustainably improve poor people's nutrition and health.

The International Symposium on Food and Nutrition Security: Food-Based Approaches for Improving Diets and Raising Levels of Nutrition, organized by AGN, will be held at FAO, Rome, 7-9 December 2010.
