public health,
2) Implementation of intervention projects, health
promotion programs and
3) Clinical services (OB-GYN) via its polyclinics
in downtown Ha Noi.NEWCARE’s mission is to improve the health and quality of life of Vietnamese people, especially vulnerable groups such as women and children, especially in rural and remote areas through application of innovative approaches to health promotion and social development. Newcare's research areas include gender, sexuality, sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, STDs, communicable diseases prevention (e.g, AV, ARI) nutrition, safe motherhood, smoking cessation, and health economics. Newcare’s senior researchers have extensive knowledge and experience not only in conducting research studies but also in implementing intervention programs and Behavior Change Communication (BCC) in various areas: reproductive health projects and programs, expanded program of immunization (EPI) for children under 5 and pregnant women, malnutrition prevention for children under 5 and pregnant women, safe-motherhood, family planning, behavior change intervention programs for HIV (targeting IDUs, sex workers, male clients of sex workers, pregnant women, young people, MSM, and disabled young people); BCC for AV prevention and control, etc...
